The Galesburg Historical Society is a non-profit, non-political, non-discriminatory organization incorporated in February 2003. All activities are open to the public.
The goals of The Society include discovering and preserving information and items pertinent to Galesburg history, and other communities, in as much as they relate to local history.
We strive to preserve relevant historical documents, accounts, and articles. We work with individuals, families, and organizations to acquire and restore materials and structures of historical and/or architectural merit.
Winter activities include the very successful, well attended annual two day Chocolate Fest. The chocolate lovers “dream buffet of everything chocolate"
